The Chamber has been actively engaged in the activities of various European and other projects targeted to assisting the business community on the island from the early 1990s.
It is the Chamber’s belief that such projects are an invaluable tool for acquiring experience and gaining access to sources of knowledge relevant to the interests of its member enterprises, be that of educational nature, training, research or hands-on experience, in fields ranging from e-commerce, gender equality, environmental management, cross-border business cooperation and so on.
As such, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry participates in European Union funded programmes which include inter alia the Interreg programme, the Equal Initiative (European Social Fund), Leonardo da Vinci Programme, the Framework Programme on RTD, the EUMEDIS Programme, as well as projects funded by the United Nations Development Programme ACT (Action for Cooperation and Trust in Cyprus).
